Why Should You Care About Air Quality?

Carbon Dioxide

From meeting rooms to bedrooms, rising CO₂ impacts cognition and focus. Business leaders, olympic, investors, and more already carry monitors to track when levels may exceed 1,000. Learn how CO₂ affects your productivity.

X (formerly Twitter) social media platform logo for Elon Musk quote about CO2 monitoring

Elon Musk

"I have a CO2 monitor on my desk. It beeps whenever ppm>1000. Air quality has a much bigger effect on health than people realize."

HSPH

Harvard School of Public Health

"In a recent study, test scores of participants in an office building with weak ventilation were 38% and 50% worse than those in a building designed to keep CO2 levels low."

Particulates

Pollen · Dust · Wildfire smoke · Mold · Soot · Vehicle exhaust · etc

Poor air quality can take years off the average person's life. Particulate matter can lead to severe health issues over time. Discover how indoor air affects focus.

UC

University of Chicago

"The average person would add almost two years to their life expectancy if the world permanently cut fine particle pollution to meet safety standards"

HMS

Harvard Medical School

"Can cause lung cancer, chronic bronchitis, pulmonary disease and asthma. During pregnancy, appears to raise eat risk of premature birth, (and) maternal and fetal death..."

Keep track right
from the lock screen

Watch CO₂ and particulate levels climb or fall in response to your actions (like opening a window) right from your lock screen.

Get timely
alerts when needed

Set thresholds that matter to you. Want an alert if CO₂ hits 800 ppm? Or if particulate matter spikes in your living room? You decide.

Attaches via magnets in your phone

iPhone users will be able to use the Magsafe they know and love. Android users will be given a magnet ring to stick to the back of their device to easily add or remove the device from their phone.

How does this differ from AQI in my weather app?

The AQI in your weather app is coming from a measuring station often many miles or km away.

Halo Air is on your phone because air quality is hyper local to the room your in, the street your on, etc.

What do I do with the information?

Often times, an alert is all you need to make a simple fix. Crack a window or a door. Get outside if you're feeling drowsy. Adjust your walk to work to avoid a construction site.

We'll always tell you the recommended action.
